Events

Well Doc Alberta offers a variety of education sessions aimed at enhancing literacy and awareness about the science of physician wellness, promoting self-reflection, and helping to coach groups toward change. The majority of these sessions are not open for broad attendance because they are developed for and delivered to specific groups of physicians, residents, and/or medical students upon request (e.g., academic half-days, workshops at retreats, assisting groups to build a peer support team).

However, we do sometimes offer events with open access to these physician audiences. Please see the list of these upcoming and past open access events below. Several of these have also been recorded for later viewing, available here.

If you are interested in requesting an education session for your group, please email
WellDocAlberta@ucalgary.ca. Stay tuned for a page outlining our currently available sessions, coming soon.

Please visit our Community Bulletin Board for a list of non-Well Doc Alberta physician wellness events.

The Canadian Medical Association, MD Financial Management Inc., and Scotiabank proudly support Well Doc Alberta, one of several initiatives that comprise their $115 million commitment to supporting the medical profession and advancing health in Canada.

As a settler, I would like to acknowledge that I work and reside on the traditional territories of the peoples of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation within Alberta (Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6).
